Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented Proposal Writer to support our proposal development efforts. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, educators, and administrators, to craft compelling proposals that secure funding for various educational initiatives.



  • Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough research on funding opportunities, opportunity guidelines, and educational trends.
    • Analyze data and gather information to support proposal development.
  • Proposal Writing:
    • Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals in accordance with grant requirements.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather relevant information.
    • Develop compelling narratives that highlight the impact of proposed projects on educational outcomes.
  • Editing and Review:
    • Edit and proofread proposals for clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines.
    • Collaborate with team members to incorporate feedback and improve proposal quality.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding organizations//partners.
    • Experience responding to government bids.
  • Develop Associated Budgets and Pricing Schedules:
    • Create budgets that align with the anticipated scope of work, as well as the organization’s financial goals and objectives.
    • Ensure that budgets and pricing structures comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
    • Work with relevant teams to implement the developed budgets, ensuring that financial plans are followed and resources are allocated efficiently.


  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal writing, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of experience writing successful bids.
  • Familiarity with proposal writing processes and requirements.

This is a contract position at a rate of $70/hr. 

This position entails a commitment of 15 hours per week, and we are actively seeking a dedicated individual for long-term collaboration, with the potential for transitioning to part- or full-time employment in the future.
