Regional Assistance Team Members, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Statewide System of Support
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Statewide System of Support (SSoS) provides supports to districts with one or more schools categorized as requiring focused or targeted assistance, as defined by the Massachusetts Accountability System. Two Regional Assistance Teams serve the West/Central and Coastal areas of the state to support identified districts. SCHOOLWORKS® is seeking experienced educators to serve on these teams and provide an array of supports including, but not limited to, development and implementation of improvement plans, direct coaching, and partnering and modeling.
Project Manager, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Office of Strategic Transformation
The Office of Strategic Transformation (OST), within the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE), is tasked with supporting schools and districts in state receivership as well as managing special projects as assigned by the Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education. SchoolWorks is looking to select a candidate who will work with OST to oversee a statewide initiative to certify interpreters for the educational setting. This exciting new initiative will increase equitable access to schools to all families, regardless of their native language. SchoolWorks seeks to hire a Project Manager who will work within OST and have primary responsibility for coordination and project management necessary for this workstream.
2022-2023 Colorado State Review Panelists
Recruitment has begun on finding Colorado-based educators to participate on the Colorado State Review Panel (SRP) – the body assigned to evaluate schools and districts at the end of the Accountability Clock (i.e., earned Priority Improvement or Turnaround plan type for five years), and provide recommendations to the State Board of Education on required actions when schools and districts fail to make progress. Applicants with experience and expertise in school or district turnaround, alternative education, experience as a superintendent, English language learning expertise, and those who are biliterate or multiliterate (able to read and write) in both Spanish and English are especially encouraged to apply.
Managing Director of Accountability and Authorizer Supports, SchoolWorks
The Managing Director of Accountability and Authorizer Supports works alongside the Managing Directors of Instructional Supports, Leadership Supports, School Developer Supports, and School Quality Reviews to oversee all projects. The Managing Director will report to the Director of Project Management and President. Managing Directors will be responsible for directly managing up to 50 contractors and 15 engagements at any given time. The right person for this role will have significant experience in the education accountability and charter authorization environment and will be able to support, coach, and manage a variety of projects, team members, and initiatives.
Instructional Leadership Coach, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – Kaleidoscope Collective for Learning
The Kaleidoscope Collective for Learning (Kaleidoscope) at the Massachusetts Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is an office that focuses on creating tools, professional
development and system-design support to ensure equitable access to Deeper Learning Experiences for
all students in the Commonwealth. The Instructional Leadership Coach will work with the Kaleidoscope team to develop high-quality tools, professional development, and resources to support schools and districts with effective instructional practices grounded in deeper learning, as well as provide direct support to school leaders and educators as they cultivate deeper learning environments in their schools.
