Emily Ullman is the Senior Strategist of Special Projects, Equity & Impact with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Ms. Ullman is a veteran educator having taught communications, performance, public speaking, and education to students in elementary, secondary, and higher education settings. Her work focuses on evaluation, systems building, and the intersection of schools and communities.

Throughout Boston, Emily trained and managed out-of-school professionals in youth development, social justice, and the arts, while designing programming and impact metrics. In her most recent role in the Salem Public Schools, Ms. Ullman served as the Director of Community Engagement and Partnerships, where she oversaw out-of-school time, partnerships, and led the equity and anti-racist work of the district. Much of her work in Salem was dedicated to building a city-wide, cross-sector Children’s Cabinet with support from the By All Means Initiative at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Emily holds a Master’s degree in communications from Eastern Michigan University.
