Erin Burchill is a consultant with SchoolWorks. Before joining the SchoolWorks team, Erin worked in schools for 12 years as a teacher, literacy coach, and assistant principal. Most recently, she worked at the Wright Science and Technology Academy – an urban middle school in Chelsea, Massachusetts. She first joined Wright as a reading specialist, working with students in grades 5-8, before becoming the literacy coach by the end of her first year. After five years in that role, Erin became assistant principal.
Prior to working in Chelsea, Erin worked as an elementary teacher in two suburban districts North of Boston. Erin also has experience teaching high school students in a summer credit recovery program – Cambridge Harvard Summer Academy – where she also mentored graduate and undergraduate teacher education candidates from the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Teacher Education Program.
Erin earned her undergraduate degree from Brandeis University and her graduate degree in Reading and Language from UMass Lowell. She prides herself in being a versatile and caring educator who always puts the learning and emotional well-being of students first.
