Salina (Sally) Morton came to SchoolWorks after 10 years working as an executive support professional and marketing event planner for a executive advisory consulting firm in the Washingon, D.C., area she considered a “learning environment.” What attracted her to her current position as SchoolWorks’ project assistant and human resources coordinator is that she found an even more supportive environment. “SchoolWorks is a family, we all support each other and learn together,” she says.
“SchoolWorks is very committed to personal growth,” Morton adds, pointing to the company’s commitment to coaching, classes, seminars, and time off for professional development. “They mean it when they say they encourage learning.”
Morton supports project managers, associates, and consultants with research, organization, and logistical support for large-scale site visits and other projects. She also manages logistics around new client partnerships and serves as the staff’s human resources coordinator, a role in which she is responsible for new employee on-boarding, HR compliance, and managing the recruiting process.
“I wear a lot of hats, which I enjoy,” Morton says. “Every day is different, which keeps things interesting.”
