Dr. Sean Stevens is a consultant with SchoolWorks and co-leader of the SchoolWorks Advancing Equity Cohort.
Dr. Stevens is an author, entrepreneur, educator, host, producer, and life coach. His work as an educational leader is centered around social justice, school reform, youth empowerment, and black male identity.
Dr. Stevens has served thousands of students in urban, marginalized areas across the country. As a Principal and Head of School for KIPP Schools, he successfully moved one of the lowest-performing high schools in the KIPP network into the 88th percentile in the country. Most recently he has served as a Chief Academic Officer and Executive Director of the Adams Street Foundation, a nonprofit that supports students navigating college and career pathways.
A Cornell University graduate, Dr. Stevens has drastically transformed systems through his leadership. He holds a master’s degree in Education Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy from New York University, and a Doctorate degree in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Vanderbilt University.
