Yahaira-Maria Frier is a consultant with SchoolWorks.
She has served in school leadership roles for two districts- Lawrence Public Schools with UP Education Network and Somerville Public Schools. At Somerville High School as the Assistant Principal, she managed wrap-around supports for youth of immigrant and refugee backgrounds. While in Lawrence, Yahaira held several leadership positions including Principal, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, and Department Chair for the ESL department.
Yahaira taught for several years as a middle school ESL teacher in her hometown of Lawrence, MA.
Yahaira holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and a Master’s degree in teaching from Simmons College.
