Lauren Venuti is an Instructional Leadership Coach with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Most recently, she served as an Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction at UP Academy Leonard Middle School. In this role, Lauren provided instructional coaching for the school’s humanities teachers and was responsible for designing and implementing professional development, facilitating data meetings, and ensuring high quality curriculum and instruction throughout the school.

Lauren began her career teaching high school English at Cristo Rey Boston High School in Dorchester and participating in the Urban Catholic Teacher Corps at Boston College. It was at Cristo Rey that Lauren first began instructional coaching, serving as a New Teacher Development Coach and literacy support within the building. During this time, Lauren also participated in the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education program (NAATE) to deepen her classroom practice and build her leadership capacity.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Fairfield University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College.
