Michelle Doane is a consultant with SchoolWorks. She has served in multiple capacities in the educational environment and has worked closely with both traditional district and charter schools. In her work with the Nashville Symphony, she led the creation and implementation of a music education program in select schools in Metro Nashville Public Schools. More recently, she managed a fellowship for experienced education leaders to undergo leadership development and develop charter school models to be approved in Nashville and Memphis. Every fellow under her direction was authorized to open their charter school; some have gone on to expand and open additional schools. Michelle holds a Bachelors of Music from Eastman School of Music, a Masters of Music, Piano Performance from the University of Michigan, and a Masters of Education in Language and Instruction from Vanderbilt University.
